With a decade of experience in the medical aesthetics industry, Carmen is a passionate and dedicated professional committed to enhancing her clients’ natural beauty.
Born in Canada, Carmen began her career in Los Angeles, where she had the privilege of studying under renowned experts Daria Chuprys and Pastiche aesthetics training center with Florence Bennett Hill in Australia. This foundational education in Corneotherapy equipped her with a deep understanding of skin function on a cellular level.
Following her training, Carmen honed her skills at a prestigious clinic in Vancouver for four years. She then expanded her expertise in Portland, Oregon, working in a Med Spa alongside naturopathic doctors and a skilled plastic surgeon. This collaborative environment enriched her knowledge regarding the interplay between hormones, gut health, and skin conditions.
For the past three years, Carmen has been a valued member of the Essence of L team in White Rock. She offers an extensive range of treatments, including SkinTyte, Sylfirm RF microneedling, chemical peels, dermaplaning, Hydrafacial, and acne corrective peels. Her proficiency in advanced techniques such as exosome therapy and thermo-coagulation allows her to address various skin concerns effectively, including skin tags, moles, seborrheic keratosis, seborrheic hyperplasia, and cherry angiomas.

Dr. Alaina Overton, ND followed her passion for skin health, graduating from The Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in 2015 as a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, and went on to receive advanced facial anatomy and cosmetic skin rejuvenation training with the Canadian Society Of Skin Medicine. She pairs innovative cosmetic skin rejuvenation treatments with a holistic approach to skin care, artfully addressing both the internal and external factors that contribute to inflammation, acne, aging and other common skin issues. Dr. Overton understands that your face can be a representation of your entire body, providing much information about who you are and where you’ve come from. She strives to honour your aesthetic vision and goals with a synthesis of natural and modern skin care, to instil a feeling of true, authentic beauty.
